ingredients

- 1kg large yellow dates

- 500g sugar

- 15g lemon juice

- 3L water

directions
- Peel the dates and add them to water.(1 hour).
- Boil water until dates are cooked.(1 hour).
- Let it cool then remove pits.
- Keep 200g broth aside, cover and leave overnight.
- Remove the dates and boil the sugar on high heat, stir for 10 minutes, add the dates and boil for 15 minutes.
- Add the lemon juice.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- If you prefer, you can stuff each date with an almond.
- Pour into a glass jar.
tips
- Peal the dates with the potato peeler.
